Trying to plan our West return transit is becoming a task... Fall weather is picking up and waiting Sisimiut is not going to be a timely solution. The plan now is:
20190901-0900 hrs Depart Sisimiut GL for Brevoort Island harbor by timing our departure we take advantage of the Easterly low-pressure counter-clockwise winds to sail downwind for Canada then can wait at Brevoort Harbor for a new weather window before proceeding to Hudson Strait. (With tides over 20 feet you do not want to be navigating contrary to tide, current and winds/seas unless you enjoy being inside a washing machine. - you have been warned!)
Brevoort Harbor to Lower Savage Island (Hudson Strait entrance) 107 nm
Savage Island to Sakkiak Island 328 nm (Check Hudson Strait tide/current/Wx)
Sakkiak Island to Labrador Narrows 388 nm
Labrador Narrows to Fort Ross 283 nm
Sisimiut to Bellot Strait abt 1452 nm @8.5kts abt 7 days +/-.
