Weather Check enroute to Nome - don't forget to look down the Aleutian Islands out 5 days... sneeker tropical depressions can come screaming into the Bering Sea... then hook into the Arctic... likewise fronts from polar Siberia aka Polar Vortex fronts...

RULE - stay aware of your weather surroundings! Advanced alert is trouble foreseen and avoided.

RULE - WEATHER IS THE GREATEST SEA ICE FORCING - KNOW FROM WHICH DIRECTION WEATHER APPROACHES AND DRIFTING SEA ICE LIKELY "DOG-LEGS" WHICH IF USED ALLOWS YOU TO POSITION YOUR VESSEL STRATEGICALLY TO GET AROUND ICE DAM BLOCKAGES.

I don't think you could of ordered better weather to go direct from Astoria OR to Nome AK.

THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE FOR NOT GOING FICKLED... THIS TIME!
(THANK YOU NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE - SPOT ON FORECASTS)
